Sarah-Jane Clark

Key responsibilities
My role is to build, maintain and deliver the Sambhana Care induction training programme in line with the care certificate. This involves identifying where training is needed for support staff and using our e-learning site to deliver the content to ensure we are all compliant which is so important. I am also responsible for assessing all new clients and care packages and overall managing the adults with learning disabilities branch of Sambhana care.
Qualifications
L6 planning and delivering. L3 first aid assessor/trainer and L3 safeguarding assessor/ trainer. I am iosh (Institution of Occupational Safety and Health) trained. I have L3 lead adult care training and am certified L2 in conflict management.
How long have you worked for Sambhana Care?
I joined the company in October, 2020.
Experience before joining Sambhana Care?
I worked for ten years as a support worker for adults with learning disabilities. For three of those years, I was a training coordinator and trainer/assessor with a charity that supports adults with learning disabilities.
Outside of work, what are your interests?
I am very family orientated so most of my spare time is spent with my family including my two beautiful granddaughters and my dog. I also like to swim and do yoga and enjoy walking through the countryside all of which keeps me pretty fit and busy. I am a member of English heritage which is something I am passionate about and I particularly enjoy days out walking around and viewing castles and other historic buildings.
I am hoping to volunteer for some charities that support the homeless as I feel this is a cause that needs as much help as it can get. I usually volunteer for the charity Crisis at Christmas time which is a rewarding experience every year.
Downtime is enjoyed socialising with friends – although recently that has taken place more and more over zoom!
Covid Safety

All our staff have now received their Covid vaccination to ensure the ongoing safety of our clients.
Working with our clients during these challenging times we know they want to stay at home where they feel safe and secure for as long as is humanly possible before considering residential care and it is our mission to make that happen wherever possible.
Our easily recognisable, trained and uniformed staff are referenced, enhanced DBS-checked, carry full Sambhana Care ID, and are tested weekly for Covid-19. In addition, we have the necessary Personal Protective Equipment and practice social distancing to ensure your safety and ensure peace of mind. We will continue to follow all the government guidance for those working in the health and social care sector to protect your safety in your home.
